FRAGRANCES THAT MAKE YOU HAPPY

Good Morning Beautiful,

I wanted to share a little something about your parfum. Whether it's the demands of work, family responsibilities, or simply the constant barrage of information from our digital devices, finding moments of peace and tranquility can feel like an elusive dream. However, there's a powerful ally in the battle against stress and anxiety that often goes overlooked: the sense of smell.

Not only do I believe that scent is at the centre of our experiences but aromatherapy, the practice of using scents to promote physical and psychological well-being, has been utilized for centuries in various cultures around the world.

Among the myriad of scents available, certain ones have garnered a reputation for their ability to reduce stress, boost mood, and evoke feelings of relaxation and contentment. We use vanilla in all of our products as it promotes a cozy, grounded, and nostalgic feeling and build from there. Three scents we use that increase mood, reduce stress and anxiety are all kinds of citrus, sandalwood, and lavender.

Citrus: Nature's Energizer

The invigorating aroma of citrus fruits, such as oranges, lemons, and grapefruits, has long been associated with feelings of freshness and vitality. Citrus scents are renowned for their ability to uplift the spirits and energize the mind. Research has shown that inhaling citrus essential oils can stimulate the production of serotonin, a neurotransmitter that contributes to feelings of happiness and well-being.

Whether diffused in the air, added to bathwater ( MANE ), or applied topically in the form of essential oils, citrus scents have a remarkable ability to dispel feelings of lethargy and fatigue, leaving you feeling revitalized and ready to take on the day.

Sandalwood: The Scent of Serenity

Derived from the fragrant wood of the sandalwood tree, sandalwood has been prized for centuries for its rich, warm aroma and its calming effects on the mind and body. In aromatherapy, sandalwood is often used to promote relaxation, reduce anxiety, and enhance mental clarity.

The complex scent of sandalwood possesses grounding properties that help to center the mind and alleviate feelings of stress and tension. We use sandalwood to create a feeling of serenity and tranquility, providing a much-needed respite from the chaos of everyday life.

Lavender: The Ultimate Soother

Arguably the most famous of all aromatherapy scents, lavender has a well-deserved reputation as a powerful stress reliever and mood enhancer. The sweet, floral fragrance of lavender has been shown to have a calming effect on the nervous system, helping to reduce feelings of anxiety and promote relaxation.

Studies have demonstrated that inhaling the scent of lavender can lower blood pressure, heart rate, and levels of the stress hormone cortisol, making it an invaluable tool for managing stress and improving overall well-being.

In conclusion, the power of scent to influence our emotions and well-being should not be underestimated. By harnessing the natural properties of scents such as citrus, sandalwood, and lavender, we can create environments that promote relaxation, reduce stress, and enhance our overall quality of life.

Maybe this is why our Rio 62 has become a fan favourite.

With Love,

FH
